Eldritch-Aberrance

It watches...

Hello, hi! I'm Eldritch.I'm an inquisitive entity that may or may not be writhing around in the endless void.
I'm also a total nerd at heart for world building, d&d-type gaming, and, of course, eldritch, incomprehensible abominations. Being able to create and alter fictional realms always has been exciting to me, and I hope to be able to make my own interactive worlds to share!
As for the creative things I do,
I've always had a good time writing drabbles, character ideations, and world dynamics.
In addition, I create numerous types of visual art, including digital drawings, pixels, small animations, symbol design, and more.
If you're interested in my creations and want one for yourself,
please see my commission info below!

About Me

Hello, yes, I'm a non-binary eldritch horror just kind of floating around this dimensional space, and I absolutely want to go back to the unspeakable abyss.
Please help release me from this flesh prison.
The front page was more "formal" if you can call it that, but in reality, I'm basically a cryptid.Things I enjoy include reading lots of text, rambling forever about my and others' characters, contemplating philosophical dilemmas, meditating in the woods, and writing rhyming riddles, among many other things.I have a background in martial arts with various weapons training and have long since graduated from San Jose State University with a BFA, double-majoring in Animation / Illustration + Philosophy. After that, I returned home to the east coast of the US, and have been vibrating in and out of existence ever since.

Commissions Status: Open (Species Commissions Only)

Here is some general information on what kind of commissions I'm currently offering!
More info and examples for each category can be found via clicking that specific button.
Note: The commission types that are closed don't have their pages or forms ready yet!
They'll be available soon.
Terms Of Service
First, here is my terms of service (or TOS). You have to read and accept these terms before I'll agree to doing a commission of any kind, so take a look at this first!

OPEN BRIEFLY

Any kind of closed or open species commissions, either for Masterlist art, ARPG quests, or general art for characters in those species. Species commissions have a particular 'set standard' that needs to be provided as a reference for what is acceptable in terms of traits, sizing, specific species canon, with particular requirements depending on the species. If you're not sure what this is about (it's kind of niche), you're probably looking for Standard Commissions!

CLOSED FOR NOW

Typical, digital art commissions that are not of any 'closed or open species' characters, but are of Original Characters, real life likenesses, design concepts, fanart, and so on. These are all illustrations, sketches, or transparent 'pagedolls' in format.

CLOSED FOR NOW

Anything that falls outside of the other two categories. For example, pixels, small animations, traditional art, icon / symbol design, complex pattern design, etc.

CLOSED FOR NOW

Currently somewhat experimental, these are for short written drabbles or prompts, but can also be poetry, riddles, In-Character note pages or journal entries, and so on. Since these are new for me to be taking commissions with at all, 5 pages (10pt font, 1.1 line spacing) is the current cap for any single commission. These can cover any subject (closed species, standard character, just general theme, etc.) as long as it doesn't conflict with my TOS.

(Less-humanoid bipedal creatures with no known equivalents, monsters, aliens, or body-horror creatures that include some human parts ARE NOT considered Anthros, and I will draw them.)

  • The Client may contact the Artist at any time to ask for a progress check on the commission, but no more than once every two weeks. The Client is encouraged to contact the Artist via social media (DeviantArt, Toyhou.se) if the Client is unable to reach the Artist via e-mail.

To use any of The Artist's work or name, The Artist must be contacted directly, and permissions must be given by The Artist for each individual work / name that is to be used. • Depending on the desired style and queue, the estimated turnaround upon acceptance of the request form and the start of work is about two (2) weeks to two (two) months at the latest. This also depends on the promptness of the Client approving the different stages of the commission, and times may exceed this estimation if the Client takes longer to approve the progress.

  • If the Artist has to take longer than two (2) months to complete the commission for whatever reason, the Client will be contacted and informed of the status of his/ her/ their commission.

  • The Client will not be refunded if (s)he/ they are unsatisfied with the finished commission.

  • If the Client is unsatisfied with the finished commission, the Artist is willing to discuss and make minor edits (ex. adjusting colours, changing small details, etc), up to a maximum of three (3) times after correspondence. Any desired major revisions (ex. reposing, colour scheme change, etc.) will be rejected.

  • The only major revisions permitted are details that the Artist may have missed and was specified by the Client in the order form/ correspondence while the commission was still in the sketching/ lineart/ flat color stage (ex. missing full body tattoo that's essential to the character's design).

SECTION 7 - COMMISSION PROCESS
The following is a sample of the Artist's commission process:

  • The Client fills out a form using either a Google Form, Deviantart journal, or an email sent by the Artist. An e-mail, or other form of communication (Deviantart Note, Discord username, etc.) is required for the Artist to get in contact with the Client. The Client's e-mail or other non-public contacts will remain private and will not be shared.

  • The Artist contacts the Client via e-mail (or other chosen communication method) within 72 hours after the Client has sent the order form, confirming the acceptance or rejection of the commission. Upon acceptance, the final price and details of the commission are confirmed.

  • The Artist may have questions for the Client starting at the beginning of the work and/or at varying times throughout, such as additional clarifications to what was provided in the form, or inquiries about specific details that did not have any visual reference attached. The answers of these questions will impact the piece, and in some cases, the Artist may not be able to continue working without an answer.

  • After any additional questions are answered and the Artist has had some time to apply these details, if any, the Client will receive a rough sketch (resized and watermarked) of the commission. Revisions can be done at this stage.

  • The Client approves the sketch after everything looks good to the Client.

  • Upon approval of the sketch, the Artist will work on and continue on the commission.

  • The Artist will contact the Client for confirmation at the Sketch, Line Art, and Flat Color stages. Each of these needs a confirmation by the Client before progress on the commission will continue. Changes can be requested during any of these stages; ideally the more major ones as soon as possible, and before the flat color stage if it is not color-related.

  • Once the commission is complete, the Artist will send a small thumbnail of the finished piece to the Client as proof of completion. The Artist will ask for payment at this time, and confirm paypal details with the Client.

  • The Artist will send a Paypal invoice to the Client with the agreed-upon pricing details. Once the invoice is paid, the Client can notify the Artist, and the Artist will send over the completed commission to the Client via their chosen method.

  • If there are any minor edits that the Client wants made to the final, they can be requested at this time, but major edits at this stage will be rejected.

  • If permitted, the Artist posts a resized and watermarked version of the commission on social media.

Species Commissions

Any kind of closed or open species commissions, either for Masterlist art, ARPG quests, or general art for characters in those species. Please provide reference of the species itself, and tell me any specific restrictions or limitations regarding the rules of the species that would affect your commission!I'm definitely not familiar with all closed and open species, but I want to make sure the art (especially Masterlist art) fits the requirements for being accepted in those groups the best I can.

Price range varries depending on the commission type and level of finish desired.
There are estimates of the various different types found in the form below, but based on what you'd like, the final cost might be either more or less than what is stated in these estimates.
If you're interested, or curious about more specified prices, please look at the form! Here is a rough idea of an approximate price range to expect from some of these categories:

  • ~$80+ Masterlist Art (Existing Design with some changes)

  • ~$110+ Masterlist Art (New Character Design)

  • ~$10 - $160+ General Character Illustration

  • ~$10 - $160+ ARPG Prompt Art

  • ~$40+ Character Ideation Sketches

If you check out the form and find the estimates do not fit your budget, or you decide you don't want a commission for any other reason, no pressure. Just close the form without submitting anything! Nothing will be collected without you going through it all and submitting at the end.

Standard Commissions

It watches...

Standard Commissions
Typical, digital art commissions that are not of any 'closed or open species', but are of OCs, real life likenesses, design concepts, and so on. These are all 'illustrations' or 'pagedolls' in format.
Given the wide variety of subject matter, degrees of finish, and possible styles, the prices listed below are very rough estimates. Once I get the details of what you would like, I can give you an exact quote for your request that might be higher or lower than what's listed here, based on the time it would take me to complete.

Unique Commissions
